本稿では、各種イベントの文章を翻訳し、
新規プレイヤーの"よく分かんないから適当でいいか"を軽減することを目的にしています。
今回は、Zom Zom'sのイベント4回目です。
1回目、2回目、3回目も合わせてご確認ください。

※翻訳の怪しいところはそれなりに訳注を入れて誤魔化してあります。

今回は3回目から分離したStoatとの交渉パート、
およびZom Zom's再訪問時のイベントをまとめました。
交渉パート

Out in the robot prep yard,
mechanics are tending to their creations.

Your companion stops alongside a tall robot,
reminiscent of a farm combine.

背の高いロボットの横で立ち止まった。
You shudder to think what it does to a human with those blades,
but then, something inside moves.

Crawling out the feederhouse behind the blades is a mechanic,
who looks around, and satisfied, waves another out.

The second looks more like one of the patrons than a mechanic:
starved and scared.

near the combine bot.

"Unclaimed lost and found, let's say."

ここで渡されるアイテムは、NPC1人分程度のランダムなアイテムです。
すべてConditionが100％のものなので、
着替えや装備、食料があれば入れ替えても良さそうです。

You cast a glance back at The Stoat, and he shrugs.

He thumbs over his shoulder,

He laughs, mocking a vomiting motion.

with screw mounts on it.

he says as he makes his way to the warehouse.

そう言うと、彼は倉庫に戻って行った。
この後は、《2254》"Leaving Zom Zom's Cont'd"で合流して終了です。
当然何も得られませんし、再訪問しても同様のイベントは起こらなくなります。

発生タイミングはZom Zom's入場後、
バーベキューを食べたメッセージが出た直後からになります。
分岐はStock(再訪問時)、Spectator(再訪問時)、初回訪問時の3つです。

A greasy, bony man gets tossed into the pit,
falling to his knees, with hardly enough energy to stand again.

And what's this? "Wedgebot"?

A low, sharp-edged dome skitters in from the other side,
and immediately charges the man.

The fight goes pretty much as expected:
a few tiring dodges, a stumble, then "plop-plop",
two ankles severed, followed by a high-speed ram into the prone victim.

The combine blades suck him under, and a moment later,
red mist comes shooting out the top of the bot.

He thumbs towards the fence where the patron and mechanic escaped.

A familiar face walks up and drops a lockbox

he says as he makes his way to the warehouse.

この後は、《2254》"Leaving Zom Zom's Cont'd"で合流して終了です。
当然何も得られませんし、再訪問しても同様のイベントは起こらなくなります。

you get ready to see what mechanical monstrosity gets carted out next.

Uh oh. Skeleton bones alert.
Looks like this contestant hasn't been eating his barbecue.
A greasy, bony man gets tossed into the pit,
falling to his knees, with hardly enough energy to stand again.
おっと、ガイコツ警報だ。
今回の挑戦者はバーベキューを食べていなかったようだ。
脂ぎって、骨ばった男がリングに投げ込まれると、
再び立ち上がるだけの気力もなく膝をついた。
And what's this? "Wedgebot"?
で、これは何だ？
"Wedgebot"？
(訳注:"wedge"は"くさび"を指す単語ですが、
今回は"(くさびなどで)裂く"という意味で使われているようです)
A low, sharp-edged dome skitters in from the other side,
and immediately charges the man.
低く、縁の鋭いドームが反対側から軽快に飛び込むと、
すぐさま男に向かって突進した。
The fight goes pretty much as expected:
a few tiring dodges, a stumble, then "plop-plop",
two ankles severed, followed by a high-speed ram into the prone victim.
戦いは予想通りに進んだ。
数回のよろよろとした回避からの転倒、
そして"ポンポン"と両方のかかとが切られ、
高速の突進がうつぶせの犠牲者に襲い掛かった。
(訳注:"plop-plop"は軽い音をあらわす擬音ですが、
けっこう汎用性はあるようなので、適当に辞書で目についた訳を採用しました)

The crowd starts cheering at the sound of its tread
well before the crude LED appears around the corner.
Morning Starがまた出てくるようだ。
群衆は角から下品なLED（の光）が出てくるずっと前から、
聞こえてくるタイヤの音に喝采を送っていた。
And on the other side...that can't be right.
They've ushered in what looks like an old lady.
で、対戦者は…冗談じゃない。
案内されてきたのは老婦人のように見えた。
And what's she doing? She's kneeling! Lady!
Sympathy ain't a robot attribute! Get up!

Morning Star goes to work quickly,
closing the gap and bowling the motionless woman over.
Her leg gets caught under the right tread,
and causes the bot to veer right before the strain pops it off.
Morning Starは素早く仕事に取り掛かり、

とどめを刺す前に、ロボは右に逸れてしまった。
Morning Star straightens again,
and accelerates towards the wall,
ramming her in a messy, dusty puff of flesh and rags.

Man, these fights are getting shorter.

Well, this is an unusual one.
Looks like a combine-turned-wood-chipper,
but with a street-sweeping broom? That's confusing.
ふむ、こいつは他とは違うな。
コンバインをウッドチッパーにしたような外見だが、
付いてるのは道路清掃用のホウキ？ややこしいな。
(訳注:"wood-chipper"は、木材をチップに粉砕する機械で、
"street-sweeping broom"は路面清掃車についているアレだと思います)
And facing off against it, T-shirt and jeans guy.
Whoa, he looks pissed.
I guess he wasn't planning on being the entertainment.
そして、それに対するはTシャツとジーンズを着た男だ。
おっと、男は酔ってるようだ。
As the gates close, the combine-chipper fires up,
and all sorts of things start spinning on it.
Big blades, some sort of blower, and that sweeper.
ゲートが閉じると、"コンバイン粉砕機"は始動し、
あらゆるものが回り始めた。
大きなブレードや、送風機のようなものに、あのホウキだ。
Oh, now you get it!
The sweeper runs backwards,
and kicks up a plume of dust and high velocity dirt.

Like some mechanical dragon spewing a dusty breath weapon,
combine-chipper closes in on the man,
who's stumbling and reeling in the sandblasting.
機械のドラゴンが埃のブレスを吹くように、
コンバイン粉砕機は吹き付ける砂の中、
よろよろとふらつく男に近づいた。
The combine blades suck him under, and a moment later,
red mist comes shooting out the top of the bot.
コンバインのブレードが男を飲み込んだ数瞬後、
赤い霧がロボの上部から吐き出された。
Folks down in the front rows seem to revel in the blood spray,
which is kind of disturbing on several levels,
now that you think of it.
I mean, even just the hygiene angle is...
正面の連中は血煙に喜んでいるようだったが、
考えてみると、あれは色々とよろしくなさそうだ。
つまり、衛生的に考えても…
Anyway, not a trace of the man remains
as the combine-chipper trundles back out the door.
とにかく、コンバイン粉砕機が
